MONCLER

The French-Italian fashion label MONCLER is known for innovative fashion, designing sporty looks with high-quality materials and modern cuts to create true it-pieces. When you hear MONCLER, the first thing that comes to mind is luxury alpine fashion. But behind the brand is much more than stylish winter clothing for women, men and kids. As well as the iconic down jacket, the company also produces trendy streetstyle fashion for everyday: MONCLER T-shirts are just as much a wardrobe essential as the MONCLER coat. The collections all feature a distinctive style: classic designs are reinterpreted with extravagance and finesse.

MONCLER fashion through the ages

The luxury label was founded back in 1952 by the two French entrepreneurs René Ramillon and André Vincent. Both brought a lot of expertise. While Ramillon produced mountain sporting goods, Vincent added his expertise as a sporting goods salesman and ski instructor. Together they first developed sleeping bags, tents and an anorak. Little did they know that the prestigious MONCLER jacket would turn the initially small sports label into one of the most popular fashion houses in the world. Today MONCLER is one of the leading brands in the winter fashion segment. MONCLER down jackets in particular, with their stylized rooster in front of Mont Aiguille logo, are symbolic of the luxurious brand and enjoy great popularity. The name of the label is a shortening of Monestier-de-Clermont, a small village near Grenoble. Whether you pick winter coats, parkas, bomber jackets and breathable windbreakers – with MONCLER you always make a fashion statement.

MONCLER clothing for athletes and fashion lovers

At a time when travel and winter sports were gaining in popularity, MONCLER was able to establish itself on the market at an early stage. The Italian designer label with roots in the French Alps quickly made a name for itself. Initially worn by miners, the down jackets also became very popular with mountaineers, and Ramillon patented them in 1952. The athlete and pioneer Lionel Terray was one of the first to use the warm MONCLER winter jacket for his expeditions. The big breakthrough for the brand came in 1968: MONCLER was chosen to be the official outfitter of the French Alpine Ski Team.

Erst In the early 1980s, MONCLER evolved from a sportswear company into the world-renowned lifestyle brand it is today. As well as professional mountaineering equipment, fashionable sportswear has always been part of the range. The first purely fashion collection was launched in 1999. MONCLER captures the spirit of the times without losing the original basic idea of maximum functionality.

MONCLER collections: It-Pieces for every style

MONCLER clothing is notable not only for its high-quality materials, but also for its distinctive designs. Innovation and modern looks are style-defining. In addition to the main collection, which offers MONCLER fashion for stylish everyday life, there is also the Grenoble collection. This goes back to the roots of the company and produces alpine sports clothing that knows how to convince with a fashionable twist.

For little fashion lovers there is the Enfant kids collection. High-quality MONCLER Fashion is a practical and trendy line for boys and girls in miniature form.

The exclusive designer collections Gamme Rouge and Gamme Bleu have been operating under the MONCLER Genius Collection since 2017. The monthly recurring collection brings out special it-pieces in cooperation with other renowned star designers. Over the years, the MONCLER fashion portfolio has expanded and now also includes:

The MONCLER range

Although managed by the Italian company Pepper Industries S.p.A, the fashion label has not lost its French charm and style and continues to delight the fashion world with first-class (winter) clothing.

What began with functional ski clothing now includes a complete range of stylish everyday fashion. Sporty MONCLER designs for men are still the flagship of the trendy brand. But women also love the French-Italian fire. Understated coats are equally as popular as feminine blouses with a body-hugging cut in trendy colors and prints. Sportiness and elegance are perfectly combined in each garment. Simple to bright colors and functional fabrics enhance the sporty look. Understatement and timeless elegance are top style rules. MONCLER accessories round off the wide range and ensure the perfect appearance in any weather.
